Cowboy… but make it chic.

Where raw textures meet tailored lines,
and a little western soul gets a refined edge.

This space wasn’t meant to just look beautiful,
it was meant to be lived in, gathered around, felt.

The kind of bar where stories start,
and somehow last longer than the night…

There’s something about ‘s design language that softens everything.
The warmth of the palette, the glow of the lighting, the weight of the textures,
suddenly the cold outside feels irrelevant.

This is why I believe design isn’t visual, it’s emotional 🤎

For this project, we chose a dust free demolition approach, a first for us, to prioritize the health and safety of our client’s family.

Design isn’t only about what you see at the end.
It’s also about protecting the people who live there during the process.

Curating, quietly.

Design isn’t only about vision—it’s about guiding clients through it. Educating, offering clarity, navigating fears, and yes, sometimes compromising when something doesn’t fully align.
Not every detail comes easily, and not every choice is without negotiation—but that’s part of the craft. With these clients, we moved gently from familiar dark tones toward a lighter, more modern palette. It took trust, patience, and collaboration to arrive here, in a space that feels renewed, warm, and deeply lived-in.
Transformation is rarely linear, but it is always worth it.

Part II of our ECI reveal

This was one of the most meaningful moments of the entire project.

Pastor shared an old photograph with me months ago, a piece of his history, his roots, his community. I knew instantly that it needed to live in his space in a way that honored his story.

When he walked into the lounge and saw the wall graphic we created from that photo… he got emotional.

These are the moments that remind me why I do this work.
Design isn’t just about materials and furniture, it’s about memory, meaning, and creating spaces that carry the people who live and lead within them.

So grateful to be trusted with stories like this.

It’s been a while since I’ve properly introduced myself, so hello! I’m Sara, founder and principal designer of Sara Klai Design.

At the heart of my work is a quiet intention: to create spaces that feel calm, grounded, and filled with a sense of douceur. I’m moved by light, texture, and the subtle details that transform a house into a home.

With a background in architecture, my work always begins with space, balance, and proportion, the foundation that shapes how a room should feel before anything is placed within it.

My approach isn’t about a signature look. It’s about listening… to your rhythm, your values, and what truly matters. From there, the design unfolds naturally… intentional, layered, and timeless.

I believe interiors aren’t here to impress… they’re here to support your everyday bien-être.

Grateful you’re here 🤍
