Starting Sunday, September 24th, will be selling greeting cards to raise money for .

Sky High for Kids is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to end childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

The founder of Onyx and Linen has become very involved with the organization and wanted to find a way to make a difference with her passion of the arts. She teamed up with cancer survivor warrior, Payton Angelle, to bring the vision to life.

At the age of 9, Payton was diagnosed with t-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma. In August, we celebrated her end of treatment milestone. For 912 days, this warrior and her family faced something no one should have to endure. We are so proud of her and her courage.

Payton is the artist behind the design of these cards. Using watercolor paints, she designed each one that we then had made into greeting cards to spread this mission further beyond our current boundaries. 100% of the proceeds of the cards will go to Sky High for Kids.

We hope you love them as much as we do! The link will be shared tomorrow for anyone to purchase.

Ashanti beads are also known as "talking beads." They get their name from the distinct sounds that the various shaped beads make. The beads are intended to knock together as a person moves. The name of the beads come from where they are crafted, in the Ashanti region of Ghana. While Ashanti Beads are traditionally worn as jewelry, they can also serve as a decorative accent when placed around a pillar candle or vase to create a subtle textural accent.

Ghana is known for its eco-friendly process for creating recycled glass beads. Scrap and unusable glass products are ground to a fine powder before being poured into clay molds and baked in ovens transforming discarded objects into beautiful glass beads. The process yields particularly vibrant colors and has created a self-sustaining economy for the Ashanti and Krobo tribes in Ghana. Our African Recycled Glass Beads can be used to create jewelry or as a home accent.
