Lourdes Torgersen Glass Art

Lourdes Torgersen Glass Art Lourdes Torgersen Glass Art specializes in innovative approaches to glass art. Please contact artist An Environmental Glass Artist!

After more than five years of working with expensive glass, Lourdes Torgersen began experimenting with a new form of art: recycled glass. By taking used glass bottles and broken glass cups, she's been able to create exciting pieces that resonate with her personal beliefs. With recycled glass, every piece is unique. Because of glass's lack of predictability, these pieces are always an exciting expe

riment. As an artist she hopes to share this glass art with anyone interested in generating conversations and actions towards restoring our planet. Hopefully, her glass art will resonate with those who agree and reach an even broader audience that we need to care for our environment.

I was recently blessed with reading Jostein Gaarder’s The Solitaire Mystery, and it became the heartbeat of my spring semester in Jan Harrell’s enameling class at the Glassell School of Art.
I kept returning to the Joker—a character searching for the meaning of existence, trying to understand who he is and why he’s here.
And the more I worked, the more I wondered… isn’t he a bit like you and me?
(With a quiet nod to “Nowhere Man” by the Beatles)

🔥 Fresh from the kiln!
This fused glass plate is a bold, one‑of‑a‑kind piece—deep blues, a fiery center band, and hand-pulled lines that make it feel alive. It catches the light beautifully and makes an instant statement.

Want pics, size, or price? Just let me know—this one won’t sit around.
