Transformation Tuesday ✨ And a good reminder that a major update doesn’t always require ripping everything out.

We kept the existing bones. Same cabinetry. Same countertops. Same tile. Completely different bathroom.

The cabinetry and trim went from white to a deep, rich green, instantly giving the room depth. Then came the real personality: a warm, patterned wallpaper that completely changed how the existing white tile reads.

We replaced the built-in framed mirrors with natural wood-framed mirrors, swapped the chrome lighting and hardware for polished nickel, and finished the shower with a custom floor-to-ceiling curtain that ties the entire palette together.

The result feels warmer, richer and infinitely more interesting all while working with much of what was already there.

Sometimes the best transformation isn’t starting over. It’s making what’s already there feel intentional.

We don’t start with the furniture.

Before we ever started thinking about what would go in this home, we looked at what we could do to make the architecture itself more interesting.

In the kitchen, that meant rethinking the oversized brick vent hood. We simplified the shape, removed some of the visual bulk, and introduced a bold contrasting finish with brass detailing—turning something that previously disappeared into the room into a focal point.

Because sometimes the biggest transformation isn’t what you add to a room.

It’s knowing what needs to change first.

Sharing some behind the scenes views of our design process for this beautiful study we recently completed. One of my favorite details in this study isn’t the stunning rug or furnishings, it’s the curated gallery wall surrounding the TV. It disguises the television, gives the room history, and makes the space feel collected instead of decorated.

I rarely open a new trade account for a single product. But this wallpaper was the exception.

The moment I found it, I knew it belonged in this home. It has so much movement, history and personality that I couldn’t stop thinking about it.

Sometimes the most memorable spaces aren’t the kitchen or living room.
