We are all about selling our cast iron decor far and wide, and personally, I think everyone should have some, but today we had to stop to deal with an emergency.
My neighbor showed me this poor green snake stuck to her sticky trap. Most sticky traps catch small mice, bugs, spiders and those giant c**k roaches called waterbugs around Houston. Today, however, a snake was in it. One of the good snakes too. Neither of us knew what to do about getting the snake loose so I Googled info and then placed the annoyed little snake in a grocery bag. I picked some vegetable oil up and headed to work. Cam and Sandi both assisted in the green snake removal project. We first tied a bit of thread around the snakes throat to control its movements, then we poured on the oil and began to massage all around the snake skin to get it loose. The whole process, with three of us working, only took a few moments. Hardest part may have been getting the string off the snake. Cam carried it out to a brushy fence line and let it go. To our relief it slithered off with great energy and resumed eating all the bugs that mostly bug us.

Brrrrr! A cold snap has hit Houston and its cold enough that we actually stopped wearing shorts and flip flops for 2 days. Does anyone remember one of these? Its an old fashioned dinner bell but this one is made from repurposed rebar. This item is a cute, and fun gift, but also eco friendly. This will look great on any porch!

Brand new but rusty and rustic Triangle Dinner Bell. Some folks call this a cowboy, or chuck-wagon bell. I build mine out of used rebar. Its rusty and maybe even has a little dirt on it. VERY authentic looking. I include a rebar striker and a h**p rope to use as a hanger.The bell measures about 13"....
