For years, I thought success meant being everywhere—on every board, at every table, proving myself again and again.

But I lost my voice trying to fit into spaces that weren’t made for me.

There was a moment that made it clear: I had to choose between their approval or my liberation.

I chose liberation.

Now I’m building something different.

Highlights from an unforgettable evening 💜

After two years of serving as a director for ASIDTXGC in various capacities, closing out with the Ruby Awards during this milestone 50th year feels like a beautiful full-circle moment.

I’m grateful for:
→ The relationships built with designers and industry partners who inspire me daily
→ The lessons learned about leadership, collaboration, and community
→ The opportunity to give back
→ This incredible small but mighty team that brought our “Night at the Oscars” vision to life

As this chapter closes, I’m taking all of these lessons with me into what’s next.

Thank you to everyone who supported, collaborated, and showed up over these two years.

The small, yet mighty team that brought the ASID Ruby Awards to life 💜

There’s something special about the planning phase—the vision boards, the vendor calls, the late-night emails making sure every detail is just right. This event has been months in the making, and I’m so grateful to have served on the board of directors during this milestone 50th year.

From selecting the venue to coordinating with incredible vendors and sponsors—every piece of this puzzle matters. And seeing it all come together? That’s the magic.
