Lucas Eilers Design Associates Interior Design Sandra Drews Lucas began her design career in 1978, working for an architectural firm after receiving a B.S. Sarah Brooks Eilers received a B.S.

in Interior Design from the University of Texas at Austin. She taught Design and Drafting at The Art Institute of Houston and spent fifteen years as a Senior Designer with The Bryan Design Associates before forming Lucas/Eilers Design Associates LLP in 1995. Sandy has been a professional member of ASID and NCIDQ since 1982, is licensed by TBAE, and is a member of TAID. in Interior Design from The

University of Texas at Austin in 1980. She was a Senior Designer with The Bryan Design Associates for fifteen years, establishing longstanding relationships with vendors and gaining extensive knowledge of design and residential products. Sarah wins many awards for her design work and her projects are frequently published. Sarah has been a member of TAID, NCIDQ since 1985, and is a Licensed Interior Designer by TBAE.

It’s a rainy day here in Houston, and that calls for curling up and going somewhere beautiful without ever leaving the couch! Sandra Lucas’ tour is now live 💚

What started as a renovation to make a Charleston-style house more livable for her family has evolved into a home with bespoke character and a welcoming sense of place.

An updated floor plan created room to gather, steel doors usher in natural light, and every room has been layered over time, celebrating the elements Sandy and her husband cherish most - heirlooms, salvaged finishes, antiques, treasured artwork, and even a mythical Kit Kemp wallcovering that has become a family favorite.

Sandy’s most recent labor of love? Transforming a portion of their patio into a tailored bunk room where their grandchildren can spend their days when they visit from the UK.

The best kitchens are the ones that feel just as good to be in as they are to look at. This renovation took a closed-off galley and transformed it into an open, light-filled space built for real life. Cabinets to the ceiling, a generous island with plenty of seating, and not a countertop appliance in sight. We love when a kitchen feels this good 💚
