Some skills are taught. Others are passed down. 🪚✨

My dad may be retired, but everything he taught me is still working through my hands.

Over the years, I learned more than how to measure, cut, build, and create—I learned craftsmanship, patience, and the value of knowing how to make something from the ground up.

Now I’m putting those skills to work at KC Events & Florals by building our own custom wood backdrops and event structures.

When I can’t find exactly what I envision for a client…I build it. 💪🏾

From florals and event design to custom fabrication, we’re continuing to expand what we can create IN-HOUSE.

Dad, you taught me well. Now watch what I build with it. ❤️

When designing with flowers, you need to have more than one mechanic in your toolbox—even when working with a vase you’ve designed in over and over again.

Flowers have a mind of their own! They don’t always stay exactly where we place them, so sometimes you have to switch up your mechanics, adjust your technique, and let the flowers guide the design.

That’s the art of floral design: knowing the mechanics, understanding your flowers, and being ready to adapt.

When the flowers turn out THIS pretty, you just have to hit a little dance! 💃🌸✨

For this arrangement, we’re reflexing a kale to give the blooms that gorgeous, elevated look—and we are OBSESSED with how it turned out! 😍🌷
