There’s something about a candle that makes every celebration in life complete. From the first time you made a wish as a child while blowing out your birthday candles, to lighting the jack-o-lantern on Halloween, or a nice scented candle on Christmas. Sometimes it’s the more sensual moments that strike a flame within your heart, the candlelight of a romantic dinner or an evening soaking in a tub o
f bubbles. No matter the occasion the relaxing scent and illumination of a candle brings peace and comfort to everyone. J’s Scentsations have taken the scent and “relaxation to another level”. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. As a little girl I was always crafting and making things. Learning how to sew by hand from my great grandmother and learning to sew on a sewing machine from my grandmother and mother. As I got older and entered middle school and high school I took up shop classes and homemaking. As I got older I realized that I liked making and crafting things. In 2002 a co-worker and I got together and stared making baskets for mother’s day and father’s day. My friends and family told me that I should really start a business because I was good at what I did. So, I continued to make the baskets starting a small home based business named Jay’s Baskets & Things. Then I realized that I could make the bath and body products for my baskets and I did and renamed the business Jay’s Bath – N – Body. Then in 2011 I started to get more creative and make candles. So, in 2012 I made my last and final name change to J’s Scentsations.
