🧶TAPESTRY CROCHET | Sept 26, 2–5 PM 🖼️
One of the most striking colorwork techniques in fiber arts, and more approachable than it looks! Learn to carry yarn, work multiple colors, and read charts with guest instructor Maddie Friedman-Logue. Basic crochet knowledge required (comfy with single crochet); materials list provided upon registration.

🕌 SHETLAND LACE SAMPLER | Oct 10 & 24, 2–5 PM
A 6-hour, two-Saturday workshop with Terri Michele King. Learn the delicate art of Shetland lace knitting while creating a sampler of traditional motifs - including chart reading, precise decreases and yarn overs, and classic stitches like cat's paw, horseshoe, and fern. You'll leave with a finished sampler and the skills for bigger Shetland projects. Prerequisite: comfort with SSK, K2tog, and yarn overs. Limited to 6–8 students.

**BIG NEWS**
Yarn shops grow with our community and today I’m so happy to introduce the new Scout & Skein Team. Let’s all give a big high five, cheers, and welcome to Maddie Friedman-Logue, Cam Crochets & Duong Nguyen to our little shop in Washington Heights.

Over the summer I asked myself “what’s next?” and the option to grow in size or add a team arose as the next logical step. When I began searching for a small team to grow it became clear that having a crew to support our shops growth was priority.

I’m so excited to have these wonderful folks at the shop who each bring a lot of knowledge, experience & true grit to Scout & Skein and I couldn’t be more grateful for such a great first step with these fabulous individuals.

We will do a little post over the next few weeks to introduce you to each person, but for now know that they are here to support our community, answer questions, and bring crafting joy to everyone who comes to the shop. Let’s celebrate with a little huzzah and cheer in the comments!
