A work colleague gave me several small Ethan Allen wood pieces, including end tables, a stool, and valet items, for free, to sell in my vintage booth. He said he didn't need any money for them, but several are more valuable than we thought. I'd like to give him a reasonable commission for the pieces that I will price greater than $50 or so. What is a typical commission rate? In other words, what do you think is an appropriate percent to give to this donor?
