I still can’t believe we built every single piece of this show piece. 🥹
Fourteen feet of brand new yet antiqued cabinetry. Wood slats each carefully placed in the bookcases. Beautiful stained maple everywhere. Four layers of finish on the painted sections.
We were married to this project and so sad to let it leave our shop.
But isn’t she lovely?? ❤️

I still can’t believe it’s done. 🖤

You know that feeling when you’ve gotten into a really good book series? 📖 The story gets going so well. There’s character development. The world of the book is painted in your mind’s eye.

And then you flip to the last page.

Just like that, it’s over. 😭

We had been working on this piece since last year and physically worked on it since February. To now have it out of our shop and in its permanent home is bittersweet. It’s hard to say goodbye to something you loved on and created for so long.

By far, this is one of our favorite projects. We were allowed to pour our souls into it.

We love perfecting the transitions between pieces. We think of the overall flow of a piece, how big the doors will be when opened, the step downs to give depth, kick plates and base board. Every detail matters!
