Peanuts on Parade was a massive public art project in St. Paul, Minnesota, celebrating comic creator Charles M. Schulz. Between 2000 and 2004, hundreds of 5-foot-tall fiberglass statues of characters like Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Lucy, and Linus were painted by local artists and displayed across the city. Originally sculpted with Apoxie® Sculpt and cast in polyurethane resin for artists to decorate and create the signature details that brought these to life again with Apoxie® Sculpt! From Start to Finish... its all all in the details!

Following annual summer exhibits, most statues were auctioned off for charity, funding permanent bronze tributes. While privately owned now, many are still scattered around the Twin Cities, including several official permanent installations.

This month's featured artist is Denise "Dede" Ridgeway, Owner of “All About Palm Fronds.”

She uses palm boots from palm trees. The frond is the leafy part of the palm, she uses the boot which connects the frond to the tree. Dede’s motivation is wildlife and the environment. She brings her creations to life using 3D sculpturing and acrylics to palm boots and other wood type surfaces.

“I could not do what I do without your product Apoxie Sculpt. It ignited my imagination and has allowed me to create things that I would have never thought of.”

Dede has been a part of Rainbow Springs Art Gallery in Dunnellon, Fl. and Franklin Anderson Gallery in Crystal River, Fl, and has enjoyed sharing her knowledge of this craft with students.
