Did you know we're a Project Linus drop-off location? 🧺

Project Linus provides handmade blankets to children ages 0–18 who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need of comfort. These blankets are collected locally and distributed through hospitals, shelters, social service agencies, and other organizations, bringing warmth, security, and a little extra love to children who need it most 🫂❤️

So bring in those new, handmade blankets and know you're making a difference right here in your community. Every blanket is a hug from the heart 😊💕

Another successful Ultimate Travel Bag class is in the books! 🪡 ✨

With tons of storage & thoughtful organization for sorting all your travel essentials, it's easy to see why this By Annie bag is so popular 🧳

While it may look intimidating at first, we had beginner bag makers successfully complete their bags and leave ready for their next adventure! 🚗✈️

One of our favorite moments was seeing a mother-daughter duo work side by side and finish their matching bags together 🫂

And just look at the variety of fabrics and color combinations, each one turned out uniquely beautiful! 🎨🧵

Amazing job to all our students, and a big thank you to our instructors Kathy & Teresa for guiding everyone through the process 💕

Meeting The Combat Quilter! ✨🪡

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Andrew Lee, The Combat Quilter, to the shop for a surprise visit! 🎉

We gave him a tour, admired an incredible quilt coat sample he put together in no time, and talked about some exciting events coming up, including his appearance at Summer Showcase and another special event this fall ❤️

At Summer Showcase, you’ll have the opportunity to meet Andrew, hear about his creative journey, and ask questions about his renowned pixel quilts inspired by historic moments such as Iwo Jima and 9/11. His work has inspired countless people through its artistry, detail, and storytelling 📖🧵

Happy Sew & Tell Sunday! 🧵✨

This week we're sharing a few projects brought in that were simply too gorgeous not to show off, and we love the variety of project types represented! 💕

First up is Interweave by Amanda Murphy, a modern 48½" x 67½" quilt that showcases serger stitches and specialty threads. The beautiful green palette paired with the woven design creates such a striking look 💚

Next is a bag based on the Day Tripper pattern (By Annie), featuring the stunning Wild Rainbow Highland Cow design from Urban Threads. Between the vibrant embroidery and all those handy pockets, this bag is both beautiful and practical! 🌈🐮

For our garment category we have a chic coat made from a McCall's pattern. That rich brown color gives it such a timeless look, we're already looking forward to cooler weather with this pretty project! 🍂✨

Amazing job to everyone who brought in projects recently. We love seeing your creativity come to life! 🌟

Such a fun few days with our BERNINA 990 crowd! 🧵✨

We kicked things off with our Amanda Murphy Placemat Class, where students spent two hands-on days creating beautiful placemats while learning a variety of techniques along the way 🪡 🌷

From embroidery to quilting, it was amazing seeing everyone grow more confident with their machines and create such stunning projects 🌟

Then today, we wrapped things up with our B 990 Virtual Quilting Event featuring expert Connie Fanders, who shared so much knowledge and inspiration during this informative lecture-style session 💡📚

We loved learning all about what this incredible machine can do alongside all of you! 💕
