About Us:

Lucky Pearl Interiors is a not-for-profit organization that offers beautifully designed interior spaces to the families in the New York City communities that need them most. Specifically, we work with families living under or close to the poverty line to significantly alter their circumstances. It is our philosophy that families thrive and children learn best in environments that are no

t only functional but also aesthetically pleasing. Our design services look to transform residential spaces to meet each family’s specific spatial needs while creating environments that are bright, calming, and, most importantly, practical. As the Founder of Lucky Pearl Interiors, Mildred seeks to transform and create bright, charming, and, most importantly, practical environments. Mildred has worked on a number of projects, including the renovation of model homes in upstate New York, and in her free time continues to fuel her creativity by designing miniature dollhouses that are modern and filled with unique design elements and beautiful treasures.

Design is personal. It’s emotional. And hearing how these spaces make my clients feel means the world to me. Here are a few kind words from recent projects that truly touched my heart.

Thinking about working together? Let’s talk😁

This tiny living room is officially at the halfway point, and it’s already starting to feel so warm and lived‑in 🛋️
From the wood‑planked entry wall to the faux‑stone fireplace that mirrors the exterior, the textures are giving this little space so much cozy character even though its unfinished.

I’m curious — what would you add next to make it feel even cozier 🤎👇🏽?

Soft, slightly feminine, and timeless 🌻 — this palette became the foundation for the entire kitchen design and the tones guided every decision that followed. Not every material on this initial mood board made it into the final plan, but this early stage is always such a crucial part of the process. It’s where the story of the room begins. I’m curious — which element on this board draws you in the most? The colors, the finishes… or something else entirely?

Virtual design is such a thoughtful way to create a space you love — all the clarity and creativity of a full‑service project, without the long timelines or big‑ticket price tag.

Here’s a peek at what comes in a design package with me: clear plans, curated selections, and a vision that feels personal, intentional, and completely you.

This little living room stone wall might be one of my favorite mini projects yet 🤎 It took time, patience, and a whole lot of tiny decisions… but I love how it’s such a big part of the whole room’s design. See all the textures up close — they make such a difference at this scale. Curious to see how I made it? The completed wall? Tell me below and I’ll share a behind‑the‑scenes look ✨👇

Testing the lighting for the new living room today, and it’s wild how much a tiny lamp can shift the whole mood 🤍 Daylight feels bright and airy… night mode feels warm and lived‑in. Even in miniature, lighting tells the whole story. Which suits this room best — the soft daylight glow or the cozy night‑time warmth ✨

Design is equal parts creativity and discipline ✍🏽 — whether I’m working in full‑scale rooms or tiny ones. Lately, my mornings have been spent right here with a cup of coffee or tea, sketching ideas, refining concepts, and dreaming up new spaces. There’s something about a quiet, sun‑lit start (now that it’s actually starting to feel like spring!) that fuels both my virtual designs and my miniature worlds. I’d love to know — when do you feel your most creative? Morning light, late‑night calm, or those unexpected in‑between moments?

I love these moments 🤎 — when a piece begins to look full‑sized until you place it beside something familiar. That little shift in scale is one of the most interesting parts of miniature work, and it still surprises me every time. These tiny living room details begin to feel so real once they’re paired with everyday objects. Can you believe some of these decor items are smaller than a coin? 🪙

Every beautiful space begins with something special — a feeling, a palette, or even a fabric that sets the mood. For this kitchen, that spark was the cabinet color: Herb Bouquet by Benjamin Moore. It grounded the entire design and brought a soft, timeless warmth to a modest space that needed to work incredibly hard.

See how this kitchen and breakfast nook evolved — from the ‘before’ to the elevations that helped our client clearly visualize the potential. Thoughtful planning truly changes everything. If you’re dreaming up a future remodel, this is one to keep in your back pocket. Save this for later inspiration.
