Awhile back I had a follower private message me on Instagram stories requesting some “STILL PHOTOS” of this door that I found and refinished for the second floor bathroom of our short-term rental.
As for the details about this specific project, maybe I will share that at a later time, but for now I really wanted to use these pictures of this antique wood door as an opportunity to share some news that I have known for a while but have been trying to figure out how to share it publicly with all of you.
Let me start off by saying that designing and curating the furnishings for this upstairs apartment has been one of my top favorite accomplishments so far in this mid-life journey of mine! For that reason it comes with a mix of emotions not only for myself but for my husband that the door to our short-term rental apartment will be closing after we finish up the Summer 2026 season.
Although this door to being a short-term rental host is closing much sooner than we ever anticipated, we are excited for what the future holds for our family and to see what door our faithful Heavenly Father opens up for us next!!
I’ll definitely share more details about the “why’s” behind this decision in the weeks ahead, but in the meantime you are so welcome to drop any questions you have in the comments below and I will answer them as best I can at this time.
Thank you to all of you who have followed along since August 2023 on this journey of ours!
If you have been wanting to visit the beautiful West Michigan lakeshore and stay in our cozy 1920’s farmhouse in Zeeland, MI, you still have a little while to do so. Don’t delay though!…Book your stay with us before this door officially closes sometime in September (You are welcome to message me here if you would prefer to save yourself some $ through AirBNB).
