If old sewing machines appeal to you, this early 1900’s Singer in a parlor/drawing room cabinet should really grab your attention. The tiger oak cabinet houses a very collectible treadle machine with etchings as fancy as the cabinet itself. Yes, it works! And all doors open to allow access to the machine and treadle.
The cabinet measures 32” across x 17” deep x 31” tall. And it is priced at a firm $495.

Not all our antiques are large pieces and this chair is an excellent example. It is from the late 19th or early 20th century and is believed to be from the Stickley & Brandt Chair Company, in business from 1891 to 1917. They were known for pieces with claw feet and elaborate carving. These chairs are scarce and this one is a well-kept survivor in unrestored condition. The asking price is $340.

Here is another new arrival we think you’ll like. This is a vintage “gentleman’s dresser”, probably because of the spaces at the top that can accommodate hats and such. And it’s certainly handsome! This one measures 38” across, 19” deep and 57” tall and so will hold a good number of things in style. And at a price of $399, it’s definitely a bargain for a piece this size.

Well, our first reaction to this Globe-Wernicke barrister bookcase was “WOW!” You just can’t find a barrister with even one leaded glass section very often. This one has four! This is a mahogany piece with sections of graduated size, a base and a top, all of it refinished and ready to go. It measures 34” across, 11” deep and 61” tall. And it’s priced at $1,489, a reasonable price given the work involved getting it to the shop in this wonderful condition. Stop in and look it over. This is a Victor brand (pre RCA-Victor merger) Victrola from around 1915-16. It has been very recently serviced and refurbished, as the pictures demonstrate. It plays 78 rpm records from back in the day. And it’s a beautiful piece of oak furniture when not in use. Yours for just $395.

We’ve been telling you we have some great cast iron pieces. But all of us (except the dealer who brought this in!)were amazed to discover that this waffle maker really isn’t! This heavy piece is an Alfred Andersen & Co. cast iron krumkake iron
contract-manufactured by the Griswold manufacturing company in the late 19th/early 20th century. The ornate floral and scroll motif is a dead giveaway to its origins. Cast iron collectors, you need to see this one.
