🚨 Temporary Closure – Today Only 🚨

Last night, Huntington Humane assisted with a large scale hoarding case involving hundreds of animals across multiple species. The team was on scene until after 1:00 AM and more than 40 animals were impounded and brought into our care. We cannot express enough gratitude and appreciation for our staff, officers, board members, and support team who worked through an incredibly long, stressful day with professionalism, compassion, and unwavering focus: to care for animals who desperately needed it.

To allow our team the uninterrupted time needed to assess and care for these animals, we will be CLOSED to the public today.

➡️ Exception: Previously scheduled meet & greets for dogs that are being considered for adoption will still be honored.

We are hopeful to reopen Sunday and will provide updates as soon as that decision is confirmed. To protect an active legal investigation, we cannot share any details of the case at this time.

It's been about 2 weeks since I last posted. I work a full-time job, I am super focused on my mental and physical health, and with ME, I get wiped out easily, so I won't be constantly at the moment. I'll pop in here and there, and soon I'll start posting the changes that we're making.

Rebranding is still in the process; I'm working up a simple yet fantastic new logo and slowly getting the ball rolling.

We faced an intense storm cell the other day that wreaked havoc in our area. It tore down, uprooted, and split multiple full-grown trees. Yet, amidst all the chaos, this old beauty, who looks like she may be on her last leg, remains standing strong.

I can't help but resonate with her resilience; no matter how fierce the storm may be, she remains a symbol of strength and endurance. It's a reminder that even in the face of overwhelming challenges, we can weather any storm and even thrive from them. 🌳💪

Hey, loves!
As promised, I am back!!! 🥰

It's been a long, quiet road for Wickery 13, but I want to assure you that I have not abandoned my post; I just took a longer hiatus than expected, and I appreciate your patience during this time.

Life has taken me on a journey of self-discovery and healing that I never quite anticipated.
In October, I underwent surgery that set me on a path of healing. Then, in January, I found myself in the emergency room needing urgent spinal surgery. These experiences have required me to prioritize my physical recovery and well-being above all else.

Along this journey, I also faced changes in my mental health support system, as mine had left my doctor's group, which led me to seek a new support system.
Initially, I was very wary of starting anew with someone else. I'm grateful to say that the team I'm working with now has made all the difference. They are dedicated to helping me improve my mental health and go above and beyond what my previous support system offered.

As for Wickery 13, growth is on the horizon!
While I'll be rebranding—bringing some fresh flair into our endeavors—the core ventures will remain intact. I'm simply looking to add some more flair and start anew in a sense.

I’m back and gearing up for exciting things ahead! Thank you for sticking around during this time of transformation. Have a fantasmagical week ahead, and don’t forget to love yourself! 💚💜🖤

Hey loves, I know it's been a while since you've heard from me. I wanted to reach out and let you all know that I'm still here.

The last few months have been really challenging for my family and I. We've been dealing with a lot of personal issues that have taken up a lot of my time and energy. But I want you to know that I'm still thinking of you all and I'm so grateful for your continued support and understanding.

Hey loves!

It's been a rough week. I've been fighting tremors off and on all week so my body has been hurting like hell and we've just been riding on the rollercoaster of life. I'm alive and breathing though, that's what matters.

I finally landed myself a writing job and I am beyond ecstatic about this! It actually got me thinking about writing a small line of children's books. We'll see what the future has to hold. 🥰

With everything going on I may not be posting as often but I'll still be here making y'all some amazing scented candles and other goodies!

Good morning loves!!!

I've been a busy bee lately. I know I said I'd share some of my new goodies a couple of weeks ago but I've been hyper focused on admining the last 2 weeks. I promise I will bring them to y'all soon!!! First day free from it was yesterday and that was only because my health pulled me away.
