This is my begonia and I thought it was completely lost and going to die. Have you ever noticed we go through things that we think we aren’t going to survive but we come out on the other side; stronger, refined. It’s kinda like the saying about the pot of boiling water. If you have a pot of boiling water and you put potatoes in it they come out mushy and soft. If you put eggs in it they come out hard. If you put tea in it…well the tea changes the water into something new. Do you want to be like the potatoes, eggs or coffee/tea?
Back to my begonia. This begonia is one of my most special plants because it was originally raised by my great grandfather and my grandfather gave it to me. It’s special to me and when my heater acted up this year, well it almost died. It lost all of its leaves and I knew I was finally going to lose it and I wasn’t sure how my cousins plant was doing but I was worried about mine. I’m not even sure she has one. Anyway, the leaves started coming back and i am so grateful. When you think you’re not going to make it, be the coffee/tea and change the water.
For some, they can stop the story there, but for me the only reason it’s possible is because of the Lord. He has seen every step before I ever get there. He knew the begonia would make it and so would I. I know the begonia may not seem like much but it’s meaningful to us because it’s so old. I just think it’s really cool. Listen to the Lord and stay in His word and everything will be just fine. He’s already gone ahead of you, so don’t worry.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:34
