Is your contractor actually a licensed contractor? Have you actually asked your contractor for their license number, or do you just take their word for it?

Are you doing business with a man and a truck? Do they have insurance? Are they using employees or subcontracting?

A real license means they've met your state's requirements for training, experience, and accountability.

To find out,you can input their business name into these websites for verification.

Alabama Licensing Board for General Contractors: https://genconbd.alabama.gov/
Alabama Home Builders Licensure Board: https://hblb.alabama.gov/

With those website links you can verify any contractor in Alabama.

Don’t forget to check with the local Better Business Bureau!

This tiny kitten was in the back of one of our work trucks. She’s sweet. She’s not very old. We have her at the office. We have food and water and litter for her. Obviously she can’t be a work cat. Anyone missing a kitten or that needs a kitten?
