Blue has a beautiful traditional meaning on a wedding day. đź’™

In the old saying “Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue,” blue represents:

* Fidelity and faithfulness — a lasting, loyal marriage.
* Love and devotion — especially enduring love between the couple.
* Purity and innocence — a traditional association with the color blue.
* Peace and harmony — wishing the marriage a calm, happy life together.
* Protection from the evil eye — in some older traditions, blue was thought to ward off jealousy and misfortune.

Historically, blue was actually associated with brides long before white became the dominant wedding color. In some cultures, brides wore blue specifically to symbolize purity and fidelity.
