This isn’t my picture and it isn’t a craft I’ve done, but I need to get on my soapbox for a minute.
To assume that somebody does crafting, quilting, or sewing solely for the sake that they are poor and need money is ridiculous. Yes, some of us do rely on the extra income, but some of us just do it because it makes sense to sell all our items. we also do it because we love the craft. I’ll admit to being somewhere in between all of those.
I personally do not take commissions on T-shirt quilts. They aren’t my thing artistically. They are hard on my hands. They are hard on my equipment. I am upfront and honest about it. So, the audacity to show up to a meeting and say you ignored my statement because you thought I could use the money is downright insulting.
