What’s up, y’all? It’s meet the maker Monday And since your girl has decided to get serious about posting consistently again, and we’ve got some new folks hanging around, I figured it was time to reintroduce myself. 💕

I’m Jazzy, your Fairy Yarn Mother and the owner of Jazzy’s Crochet Creations.

I’m the crocheter, the photographer, the content creator, the website manager, the shipping department, customer service, and occasionally my own IT support.

I’m also a real-life nurse 👩🏾‍⚕️ who learned to crochet back in middle school and turned that love into a business in 2017.

I love Jesus, I love yarn, and I absolutely love working with customers to turn ideas into something beautiful. ❤️

My ruffle bucket hats are definitely the crowd favorites these days, but if you’ve been around for a while, you know I’m always finding something new and creative to put on a hook.

Alright y’all, one friend told me to post the content.

The other friend told me I need to be more consistent. She told me that a LONG time ago too. 😭 And considering she literally owns a business helping people grow on social media… I guess I should probably listen.

So welcome to The Good, The Bad & The Ugly crochet business edition.

Today’s lesson?

This blanket took FOREVER.

And when I say forever, I mean forever forever.

I restarted sections, ripped out stitches, changed things, redid things, questioned my life choices a few times… the whole nine yards. 😂

Is it perfect?

Absolutely not.

Is it made with love, prayed over, and headed to the person who trusted me to create it?

Absolutely. ❤️

But this project also taught me a few things:

Communication matters.
Transparency matters.
Adult-sized blankets and I are no longer in a committed relationship.

So let me officially announce:

🚨 Adult-sized custom blankets are no longer available for order. 🚨

If it’s for a baby? We can talk.

If it’s a gift I’m making out of the kindness of my heart? We can talk.

But baby, after this experience, these grown-folk blankets have been escorted off the menu. 😂

Every project teaches me something, and this one taught me patience, honesty, and where I need to set better boundaries in my business.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna admire this blanket one last time before I ship it off and pretend we didn’t just go through everything we went through together. 🤣🧶

Last night, I sat in a class about Kingdom business, and as my friend was teaching, she hit some points that stepped all over my toes in the best way possible. ❤️

The thing that stood out to me the most was the conversation around stewardship.

See, my name may be on the business, but the vision isn’t mine. The creativity isn’t mine. The opportunities aren’t mine. The customers, the relationships, the connections, the growth all of it started with God.

The truth is, there would be no Jazzy’s Crochet Creations without the vision God gave me. I literally could not do this without Him.

And if I’m being transparent, there have been seasons where I haven’t stewarded this gift well. Not because I didn’t care, but because I wasn’t looking at it from the right perspective. I was looking at it as my business instead of recognizing that I’ve been entrusted with something that belongs to Him.

That shift in perspective has been sitting with me ever since class ended.

So today, my heart is full of gratitude. ❤️

I’m grateful for every person who has shared a post, placed an order, worn one of my creations, recommended me to a friend, prayed for me, encouraged me, or simply cheered me on from the sidelines.

Thank you for helping carry this vision farther than I ever could on my own.

And most importantly, thank You, God, for trusting me with it.

Here’s to creating with purpose, serving with excellence, stewarding well, and giving God the glory every step of the way.
