Putting my interior stylist hat on one last time for this house 🥹✨ It really is all in the little details, a few final thoughtful styling touches can completely change how a space looks and feels, especially when staging a home to sell.

POV: the photographer is coming for your listing photos and your bed is giving… absolutely nothing. 😂

So ran to HomeGoods, grabbed a few pillows and accessories, and gave it a quick refresh.

Nothing crazy or expensive, just some texture, layers, and a little styling.

And THIS is why I will die on the hill that the finishing touches make the room.

Mark my words, blue is about to be the “it” color for bathroom tile! I mean, look at this, how can it not be?!

Our home went on the market today.

As beautiful as these photos are, they don’t capture what this house really was.

They show a house.

I see a home.

For the last two years, we poured our heart and soul into every inch of this place. I spent so much time complaining that we were living in a construction zone…that there was always another project, another trip to Lowe’s, another late night painting.

Looking back now, I realize how lucky we were to have something so beautiful to complain about.

Every room holds a memory. My parents coming over almost every weekend to help. Countless hours renovating. Learning skills I never thought I’d have. Celebrating the little wins after finishing another project.

This house is where I fell in love with interior design. It’s where I found the confidence to start Willow & Fig. Without these walls, I honestly don’t know if I would’ve had the courage to build the business I’ve dreamed about for so long.

It’s also where I imagined a future that won’t happen anymore. And I think that’s what makes saying goodbye so hard.

As I walk through each room, I don’t just see paint colors and light fixtures. I see every late night, every hard conversation, every laugh, every dream, every version of myself that existed here.

In less than two weeks, I’ll be leaving for St. Pete and closing this chapter of my life.

As heartbreaking as that feels, I don’t want this chapter to be defined by how it ended. I want to remember everything it gave me.

It gave me confidence.
It gave me purpose.
It brought my family together.
It taught me that I could create something beautiful with my own hands.

And for that, I will always be grateful.

Thank you, little Tudor. You’ll always be the home that changed my life. 🤍

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned as an interior designer: design with the end in mind.

Before a client ever sees a finished design, I’m already thinking through furniture layouts, window treatments, traffic flow, and all the little details that make a room function not just look pretty.

Today’s catch? An 80” media console technically fit the wall... but once the curtains were added, it would’ve crowded the space.

It’s these small decisions that make the biggest difference in the final result. ✨

I used to work in fashion merchandising and was constantly tracking trends, shifts and what was coming next. ⏭️

Now I’m doing the same thing, just trading out fashion details for furniture, tile, finishes, kitchens and lighting.

I created this trend report to show where tile design is heading, so you can stay ahead of the curve for your next project.

How much of an early adopter are you? Are you loving the moodier bolder colors or prefer the warm, safer neutrals?

Let me know in the comments 👇

I, for one, am LOVING the color 🤩
