Good morning and happy Sunday! ♥

The Blend is ready for another wonderful morning at First Baptist Church of Hurricane!

We’ve got the coffee brewing and a counter full of freshly baked treats, including plenty of scones, sourdough, donuts, and some delicious gluten-free options!

This morning, Pastor John Patterson will be sharing a message titled “Grace That Saves, Keeps, and Sustains,” from 1 Peter 1 and John 1:16.

What a beautiful reminder that God’s grace doesn’t end when we receive salvation. His grace continues to carry us through every season of life.

Come grab something from The Blend, enjoy a little fellowship, and join us for worship. There’s no better way to start the week! ♥

I’m not sure I can even put into words how wonderful today was! ❤️

When I signed up for the West Virginia Farmstand Trail, I had no idea what to expect. I hoped for a good day, but today went above and beyond anything I could have imagined!

To everyone who stopped by, whether you’ve been supporting me from the beginning or today was your very first visit, THANK YOU! I loved seeing familiar faces, meeting so many new people, and watching everyone come out to support our local farmstands.

Days like today remind me just how special this community is. I put a lot of time and love into what I do, and seeing that kind of support means more to me than I could ever explain.

I’m ending this day with a tired body, a very full heart, and the biggest smile. Thank you for making today one I won’t soon forget! ❤️

It has already been such a wonderful day, but there is still plenty waiting for you at The Barber’s Wife!

🤍 I DON’T THINK I COULD FIT ONE MORE THING ON THESE SHELVES IF I TRIED! 🤍

West Virginia Farmstand Trail Day is HERE, and The Barber’s Wife is packed from top to bottom!

The shelves are crammed with fresh sourdough, jalapeño cheddar sourdough, scones, mini scones, sourdough bagels, pepperoni rolls, mini donuts, granola, granola bars, pumpkin crumb cakes, apple cakes, zucchini bread and more.

Be sure to look for some of the newer additions, too—including Chocolate Mini Donuts, Sourdough Pancake Mix and handmade pieces from some of the talented local creators I’ve introduced you to recently. There is a lot to discover beyond the usual favorites!

If you’re participating in the Farmstand Trail, you can pick up a passport, collect your sticker and leave your completed passport here if The Barber’s Wife is your final stop.

TOMORROW IS THE DAY—and my kitchen has been BUSY! 🤍

This stack of boxes is only part of what will be heading to the farmstand tomorrow! I’ve prepared far more than I normally would so there will be plenty for my regular customers, our Farmstand Trail visitors and anyone else who wants to stop by.

The stand will be filled with fresh sourdough, jalapeño cheddar sourdough, sourdough bagels, scones, mini donuts, pepperoni rolls, seasonal treats and plenty more. There has been a whole lot of mixing, shaping, baking, boxing and labeling happening in my kitchen this week!

You don’t have to be participating in the Farmstand Trail to visit. Whether you’re following the trail, making your regular weekly stop or visiting The Barber’s Wife for the first time, I would love to see you!

I’ll be at the stand off and on throughout the day, so if you catch me there, please stop and say hello! This little self-serve stand doesn’t normally give me many opportunities to meet the people who support it, and I’m hoping I’ll get to visit with many of you tomorrow. 🤍

Friday’s looking pretty good from where I’m standing… and by that, I mean the farmstand shelves! ♥

The Barber’s Wife is OPEN and stocked with all kinds of fresh-baked goodies!

I’ve got plenty of scones this week, including EXTRA boxes of large Rainbow Sprinkle and Blueberry scones, variety boxes, and assorted minis!

And that’s just the beginning! There’s fresh sourdough, pepperoni rolls, donuts, pumpkin crumb cakes, granola, and more!

Don’t forget to check out our little collection of locally made treasures, too! Jenny Tincher of Chicken Farm Charm has some adorable handmade items, and Iliana Bates of Still Waters Designs has added beautiful ceramic coaster sets.

We also have local honey from Country Roads Honey Co.! With these chilly temperatures, I’ve moved the honey inside Bob’s Barbershop to keep it from getting too cold. Don’t hesitate to step inside and grab a bottle! You don’t have to be getting a haircut to do a little honey shopping! ♥

And here’s a little reminder — TOMORROW is the Farmstand Trail event! I’m excited to see what the day brings, but if there’s something you’re wanting, feel free to message me and I’ll gladly set it aside for you!

The farmstand is PACKED FULL this Thursday morning!

And for all my scone lovers, I made EXTRA boxes of the large scones this week! I’ve got Chocolate Chip, Rainbow Sprinkle, and Variety Boxes, along with plenty of mini scones in assorted flavors!

There’s also fresh sourdough, donuts, cakes, granola, and lots of other goodies tucked onto those shelves!

And I’m especially excited about our growing collection of locally handmade gifts! Along with the adorable creations from Jenny Tincher of Chicken Farm Charm, we now have beautiful handmade ceramic coaster sets from Iliana Bates of Still Waters Designs! ♥ I love being able to share a little space with these talented ladies and give you another reason to shop local.

The stand is open today from 9 AM to 6 PM or until sold out!
