We're looking at another possible service for the shop, but before we make the investment, we want to know: Would YOU use it? 👀

We're considering offering large-format PDF pattern printing right here at Heritage Bloom!
If you've ever purchased a PDF sewing pattern, you know the struggle—printing 30+ pages at home, making sure everything is scaled correctly, trimming the edges, and then taping your giant paper puzzle together. 😂

With large-format printing, you could send us your PDF pattern and have it printed on full-size pattern sheets instead. No taping required! 🙌
But the equipment would be an investment for our little shop, so we want to hear from our local sewing community before we take the plunge.

As we're putting together our opening inventory, we want to make sure we're stocking the sewing, quilting, embroidery, crochet, and knitting tools that you actually use—not just what we think you want.

🎉🌸 WE PASSED INSPECTION!! 🌸🎉

Another BIG box officially checked off the Heritage Bloom to-do list! ✅

It may not be as pretty as new wallpaper, shelves full of fabric, or our new light fixtures, but this is one of those behind-the-scenes milestones that gets us one HUGE step closer to opening our doors! 🥹

There has been a whole lot of paperwork, construction, measuring, fixing, waiting, and crossing our fingers happening behind the scenes... so today, we're celebrating this win! 🙌

Now it's back to painting, staining, building, organizing, ordering inventory, and approximately 9,472 other things on the list. 😂🧵🔨

But for today...

🧵🌸 **THE FABRIC IS COMING!** 🌸🧵

Today was a BIG Heritage Bloom day! We met with our **Riley Blake Designs rep** and made some major headway on our very first fabric inventory order! 😍

We've spent months talking about what we want to carry, researching collections, planning our shelves, and trying to create a selection that feels like *Heritage Bloom*—and now we're finally getting to ORDER it!

We absolutely love Riley Blake's beautiful, cheerful style, and we especially love supporting another **family-owned business**. It feels like such a wonderful fit for what we're building. 💙

And while this is a HUGE step, it's only the beginning! We still have lots more fabric, yarn, embroidery supplies, notions, and other goodies to order before opening day.

But pretty soon, those empty shelves we've been showing you are actually going to have **FABRIC ON THEM!** 🥹🧵

We cannot WAIT for you to see what we picked!

🌸 Today's episode of: Things We Didn't Realize We'd Be Doing When We Decided to Open a Store... 😂

Putting labels on bags. So. Many. Bags.

Our stickers and labels have officially arrived, which means it was time to sit down and start getting our Heritage Bloom shopping bags ready for all of YOU! 🛍️🧵

Is it glamorous? No.

Did we spend an unreasonable amount of time making sure the labels were straight? Absolutely. 😂

But there's something really special about seeing our name and logo on an actual shopping bag for the first time. It's one of those tiny moments that makes us stop and think...

Oh my gosh. We're actually opening a store. 🥹🌸

There are SO many little things happening behind the scenes right now—labels, bags, fixtures, shelves, construction, inventory, paperwork... the list never seems to end! But every label we stick and every box we check off gets us one step closer to handing one of these bags to our very first customers. 💙

And THAT makes sticking labels on a mountain of bags feel pretty exciting.

P.S. If you get one with a label that's slightly crooked... no you didn't. 👀😂

✨ Heritage Bloom is getting a little sparkle! ✨

The new lighting has started arriving, and THIS is the kind of construction update we've been waiting for. 😍

Our new chandelier, fandelier, and light fixtures are here, and it's so much fun watching all of those little design choices we've been making for months finally exist somewhere other than our phones and Pinterest boards.

We want Heritage Bloom to feel warm, whimsical, welcoming, and just a little bit vintage—like a shop that's been part of downtown Hutto much longer than it actually has. 🌸

And apparently we're now the kind of people who get ridiculously excited about light fixtures.

Small business ownership does strange things to you. 😂

Everyone gets excited about fabric and yarn... but can we take a moment to appreciate the mountain of not-so-glamorous things that have to happen first? 😅

✔️ Paint samples

✔️ Shelving measurements
✔️ Light fixtures
✔️ Cabinet hardware
✔️ Inspections
✔️ Approximately 4,732 trips to the hardware store (give or take 😉)

Opening a small business isn't one big moment—it's hundreds of little ones. And every single one brings us closer to opening our doors.

Thank you for following along and celebrating the small victories with us. They mean more than you know. 💙🌸

WAIT... IS THAT A STORE WE SEE?! 👀🌸

THE SHELVES ARE GOING IN!

We've spent so much time looking at empty rooms, measurements, drawings, paint samples, boxes, and construction mess that seeing actual shelving go up feels HUGE.

Because pretty soon...

🧵 Those shelves will hold bolts of fabric.
🧶 Those spaces will be filled with yarn.
🪡 There will be embroidery supplies and notions waiting for your next project.

And most importantly, there will be all of YOU walking through these rooms. 🥹

There's still plenty left to do, but this might be one of our favorite milestones yet.

We're officially starting to look less like a construction zone and more like The Heritage Bloom Fiber Co. 💙🌸

Today's Heritage Bloom job title:

🥪 Lunch Delivery Girl.

While I'm back at school, Mr. Heritage Bloom has been spending some serious time at the shop helping with construction... which means occasionally I have to make sure the man actually eats. 😂

So today's contribution to the renovation was less "power tools" and more "showing up with lunch."

Peter may have married a teacher, but somewhere in the fine print he apparently also agreed to become Heritage Bloom's handyman, furniture assembler, shelf installer, heavy-object mover, construction assistant, and occasional voice of reason.

We're pretty sure he missed that section of the vows. 😉
