Motorized roller shades, 1% solar fabric | West-facing windows | Local bar | June 2026
If you've ever sat by the front windows at The Loose Screw around 4 PM and felt the sun trying to roast you alive β we fixed that. βοΈπΊ
We just installed motorized roller shades with 1% solar fabric across the big west-facing window wall at in Taylor. That side of the building takes the full force of the afternoon sun, and 1% fabric is about as tight a weave as you can get β it knocks down the heat and glare hard while still letting you see the parking lot, the trees, and who just pulled up.
πππ¬π π©ππ«π: it's all motorized. No cords, no manually cranking five shades down every afternoon. One button (or a schedule) and the whole wall adjusts itself.
Day drinking just got a lot more comfortable. Go say hi to the crew at The Loose Screw, grab a beer, and enjoy the view without squinting. π»
