Bee orientation flight - this happens when new foragers need to learn where home is. They orient to their home before leaving to collect resources.

A beautiful white Dahlia. I was trained to believe white flowers attract bugs. They do, but these dahlias are beautiful and seem to be resistant to bugs at this point.

Go see Michael Demski at Demski's Orchard on Erie road this weekend! He has beautiful apples and pears! And he'll have some of my honey too!

He's at the Bedford Farmer's market on Saturday until 1pm and will have his apple cart out later in the day & Sunday 🍎🍐

First time using Russian queens in my apiary. Have a spicy hive that needed requeening so I split them in half & gave each a new mom. The third went into a nuc with brood and some left over field bees from another nuc. 🐝

Our little mama hen! She hatched one so we bought her a few barred rocks to raise. 🐤🐣
