The hood in the Hillside kitchen is a precast mold with a limestone finish, and it measures twelve feet long. We had to team up with the contractor, the design team, and the precast company in order to pull this one off- but boy was it worth it!

Hillside project details that stop us dead in our tracks: sunlight on the flooring we spent so much time perfecting, warm velvet tones with a knotted textured rug, a proper stair runner catching evening light, a countertop edge detail that isn’t specified nearly enough, and finishwork that only made sense in our brains but was brought to life by the craftsmen we teamed up with!

Getting ready to share more details on the custom build we finished this year! But until then, here are a couple iPhone shots that make it so special.

These details make us happy! Finishwork is a thoughtful process and we love working with tradesmen who care as much as we do!
