He is our friend, confidant, champion, and an essential part of the story that kept The Funky Bazaar alive. By giving this strange little wonderland a home, Steve also helped provide a home for local artists, independent businesses, creative dreamers, and the community that gathers around them.

Did you know that The Funky Bazaar’s founder, Peter Buhl, and Steve Moulton were best friends?

When Steve purchased the property, he invited Peter to open a storefront right beside his own. That is how The Funky Bazaar and Steve’s **Bubba’s Books AKA The Cave** came to stand side by side.

More than neighboring businesses, the two storefronts became a reflection of Peter and Steve’s kindred-spirit friendship: two wonderfully unconventional spaces created by two friends. That bond is also part of the reason Steve has continued to keep The Funky Bazaar under his wing, helping preserve Peter’s vision and the creative community it has welcomed for so many years.
