🐾 DOGTOBER FEST IS THIS SUNDAY! 🐾

We're packing up all the fun stuff and heading to Dogtober Fest in Blue Springs this Sunday! 🧡

We'll have lots of goodies for you and your pups, including fun keychains, mini charms, pet tags, doormats, and plenty more! Plus, we'll have our DIY keychain bar where you can mix and match charms to create your own!

🐶 AND we'll have a very special guest!

Our adorable foster puppy, Ian, will be hanging out with us! He's 5 months old, ridiculously sweet, super smart, and currently looking for his forever family through Friends of the Friendless Rescue. Come say hi, get some puppy snuggles, and maybe even fall in love. 🥹💕

I'm a sucker for anything colorful, and these stained-glass-inspired nightlights are one of my favorites! 🌈✨

They're such a fun way to add a little color and cozy lighting to your space without having to commit to a whole new lamp or piece of decor. 😂

I especially love how the colors look when they're all lit up! Perfect for a hallway, bathroom, bedroom, or anywhere that could use a little extra glow.

🐾 MEET DELGADO! 💙 Professional Lounger, Part-Time Pool Party Enthusiast! 🐾

Delgado is a 5-year-old good boy with the perfect balance of couch potato and playful goofball! 🐶

After spending SIX months in the shelter, Delgado finally got his chance to shine in a foster home, where he absolutely flourished! Unfortunately, he's now back in boarding and hoping someone will open their home to him again. 💔

Here's why Delgado deserves a spot on your couch (and probably your lap):
💙 Certified Snuggle Bug: Loves lounging in a comfy chair, cuddling, and pretending he's a lap dog.
💦 Water Obsessed: Give this boy a kiddie pool and he's living his BEST life!
🎾 Play Hard, Nap Harder: Fetch, tug, squeaky toys, and long walks are his jam. Once he's gotten his playtime in, he's happy to relax and entertain himself.

If you're anything like me, your dogs have completely taken over your house, so you might as well make their spaces cute! 😂🐾

I can’t get over the little ghost dog. 😂👻🐾

There’s something about cutting two eye holes in a sheet and calling it a Halloween costume that will never not be adorable.

Also probably the easiest costume you’re ever going to convince your dog to wear. 😂

Anyway… pawsitively spooky season is almost here. 🎃🖤

🥹🍝 MEET MEATBALL! 🍝🥹

This very handsome good boy is Meatball, and he’s looking for his forever home through Mid-America Bully Breed Rescue! 🧡

Meatball has been through more than any dog should ever have to experience. Despite everything in his past, he’s remained an incredibly gentle, quiet, smart, playful and friendly guy (and we think it’s about time life gave him the happy ending he deserves).

A few important Meatball facts:

👃 Big fan of backyard sniffing

👻🐾 A little sneak peek of what we’ll have at Howl-O-Ween at Waggin’ Trail Dog Park in North KC this Saturday!

Bring your pup, come say hi, shop some fun pet goodies, and enjoy a spooky morning at the dog park. 🎃🐶

There’ll be a doggie costume contest (which I am obviously very excited about 😂), plus a raffle with some fun prizes!

I’m sorry, but Happy Halloweenie might be my favorite way to say Happy Halloween. 😂🎃

The tiny witch hat. The cape. The ridiculously long little body. It’s all very serious Halloween business.

I also firmly believe dachshunds were made for Halloween because they already look like they’re wearing a costume 365 days a year. 😂

Anyway, spooky season is coming and the Halloweenie is ready. 🐾🧙‍♀️🎃

🐾 Meet our October Rescue of the Month: Mid-America Bully Breed Rescue ! 🧡

For those who don’t know me personally, I am a huge pittie lover. I’ve had the privilege of sharing my home (and couch 😂) with pitties of my own, so bully breeds will always have an extra special place in my heart.
That makes me especially excited to support Mid-America Bully Breed Rescue (MABBR) this month. They work to rescue pit bulls and other bully breeds, provide them with the medical care, rehabilitation, training, and love they need, and ultimately help them find their people.

These dogs are so often misunderstood, and I love that MABBR not only gives individual dogs a second chance, but also works to educate and advocate for bully breeds as a whole. ❤️
Throughout October, a portion of Homebound Society sales will be donated to MABBR to help support the work they do.
