This is a Basic Witz Mid Century Modern Dresser. The moment I laid eyes on her I knew she would look good in Kona by 🤩 Did you see her before? I tried to enhance her charm with this dark and rich color. I just love this color on EVERYTHING! The next few projects I'll be switching things up so stay tuned which I am excited about!
This week I'll be painting a secretary cabinet for my parents neighbor and friend Carolea. Then I'll be refinishing another dining set. Looking forward to sweating my arse off in the garage this week! 😅

I transformed (with help from my dad and hubby) this outdated admin office with the color scheme of a 10 year old boys room to a cozy and inviting counseling room! I was on a mission to get this room done in a few weeks.

For those that don't know I am a dietitian and owner of .counseling. This office was not getting used to its full potential so I decided to turn it into another counseling room. What do you think?! Would you like to see how I've decorated our other rooms?

This chest is a gift to my mom. It's been years in the making trying to find the perfect one for a specific spot in her living room. I cannot wait to see it in her house!

We were going to try and save the wood grain but there was a lot of veneer damage at the bottom and sides. She ended up going with Secret Garden by Sherwin Williams. She picked out new hardware and voila! What do you think?

I do truly feel like after almost 10 years of refinishing furniture and over 80 pieces of furniture being work on, I am officially an artist. I love this work ❤️ p.s. you know how to get a smooth surface? wipe with brown paper in between coats of paint and/or top coat. Thank you for sharing this top many years ago!!

Hi it’s me Lauren! I initially created this account to document our new build last year. I found similar accounts very helpful before starting our journey so I wanted to return the favor!

When my husband, Erik and I were building our first home I realized that there was no way I was going to be able to buy brand new furniture to furnish our home. That’s when I starting stalking Facebook marketplace and found a few pieces to refinish. I asked my dad to show me the ropes and together in his garage we refinished 4 pieces in a a year. I was hooked! I slowly began investing in tools and supplies so I could work in my own garage on my own time. Trust me, dad still helps me out especially when I get myself in a pickle. Fast forward 9 later and I am currently working on my 80th piece of furniture.

I have 2 little gals and 1 little guy who keep me on my toes. I’m married to a wonderful guy who supports me by letting me take over our 3 car garage and accompanies me aka lends his muscles on many furniture pick ups/drop offs😅

If that wasn’t enough- I am also the owner of .counseling 💕
