EVENTS! What IS the In-Store Retreat? The In-Store Retreat is a weekend of meeting up with old friends and making new ones while working on your latest yarn project without the distraction of home and work. For a fee of $25 for the entire weekend, you get a discount on all yarn in the store, as well as 7-10 free patterns, a cool shop bag and a chance to win one of the many door prizes we give away throughout the weekend. Feel free to join us all weekend or just for an hour or two. We look forward to seeing you over the weekend! What is an Over-Nighter? An over-nighter is a night we set aside for our favorite yarn projects. Over-nighters start at 7:30PM and go on through the evening until the last person goes home. For $20 we provide pizza and drinks. You bring a snack and your latest project to work on. Sometimes we work on a service project, so be sure to check the blog before you join us. First full day of Great food in Lisbon, then off to bed to recuperate from 3 days of travel🥴. Today we trained up to Porto, Portugal and had a great time on our Tuk-Tuk tour of the city. Amazing architecture and sites😍. Tomorrow Cindy and I are doing a Hop In Hop Off tour of the city with a stop to watch some surfing at the beach. Mary and Nancy will be painting tiles. Have you signed up for cruise ‘27? It’s going to be a fun one. Italy, Greece and Croatia. Call the shop for more details. DON’T FORGET WE WILL BE CLOSED NEXT MONDAY (Oct. 19).

So…. Plane landed on time in Boston only to have our phone start dinging with info that our next flight , originally scheduled for 10:30 pm, is now leaving at 1:30 am. But don’t fret because it first said that we were leaving at 3:30 am😉. So things could always be worse🥴. Hope I didn’t speak too early. Just sitting here knitting 🧶 Don’t forget that the shop is closed tomorrow Oct 15.

I am celebrating my 65th birthday this month 😁! My customers have always been so generous with gift cards and other wonderful gifts. However, this year i am asking instead for you to help me stock the Food Pantry at St. Vincent DePaul. We will be collecting items at the shop through the month of October.

HAVE YOU PURCHASED YOUR TICKET YET FOR BINGO? We still have a few tickets available for the Nov. 14 BINGO NIGHT. I am so excited about the wonderful prizes that so many yarn companies have donated🥰. Besides bingo, we will also have raffle options, hourly 50/50, and Silent Auction items.
SO, BRING CASH😉. All the money we raise will be donated to Outreach Inc. Tickets are just $10 (cash) for 2 Bingo Cards for the night. Extra cards are $5 apiece. Make sure you bring your ticket with you to get in a drawing for a $25 MAKS Gift Card. Fun starts at 6pm and wraps up around 10pm. Bring a small snack to share and I will provide Soda and Water. Blue Wave Hat. Pattern free on Ravelry 🔥. Adrianne S. Donaldson has on the Baah Yarn Hand Dyed Yarn and Mary Anne Hilderman is wearing the hat knit with Círculo Yarns - USA . The color of Alpaccino I have in stock is a little darker blue which will show up even better. I used the leftover cream ( La Perla) from the first hat in the second. GO BLUE! 🌊.

Finished💙 my Blue Wave Hat by Lake & Prairie Knits (free on Ravelry ) knit up so nicely with Baah Yarn Hand Dyed Yarn in Sonoma. La Perla and Bluetiful. I had enough yarn left to knit a second hat. And, I was gifted 😍 a ball of Círculo Yarns - USA Alpaccino ( 174 yard light worsted) yarn that I will work with the leftover La Perla Sonoma. Casting on tonight. I also finished ( 2 nights ago👏) the Scoop Neck Vest with the new yarn, Twister from LANGYARNS 🔥. Still obsessed! But I will need to knit again because my Scoop is not quite Scoopy enough🥴. I have written the pattern with both a true Crew ( sample) and a Scoop. Pattern is free with yarn purchase. Lastly, but maybe most importantly, so excited about our MAKS keychain from Bur Oak Studio: Jen Davies 🤩. Keychains ($15) are not on the website, so if you can’t get into to the shop, call! We can sell to you over the phone. Have you bought your BINGO NIGHT TICKET yet!! We are 2/3 sold out. Date: Nov 14- 6-10 pm. Tickets are just $10 for 2 bingo cards.
