Bringing in a few fall things! Like these grasses... That I cut from the median outside my neighborhood, while I casually hid behind my double stroller as my kids rolled down the hill so no one noticed 👌🏼😬

A little before and after for you of my mom’s half bath reno ✨My sweet momma gave me feee reign on design so I picked all the finishes I wanted for my bathroom update that isn’t happening here anytime soon 🤣 Happy Mother’s Day to my wonderful mom and all the other moms out there!!.

Yet another update I did at my mom’s house—her half bathroom reveal is up next!

For those of you who don’t know, I live in Indiana with my hubby and kids and my parents live in Colorado. My dad is currently dying from stage 4 lung cancer and the corona virus, has of course, complicated everything for us like many other families. I trust in God’s sovereignty and his goodness and with that I finally decided to (take every precaution) and come out and see my sweet dad as I feel like I’m Iosing precious time. And I can’t tell you what a precious time it’s been 😭 So much laughter and reminiscing and sweet, sweet moments have been had this week that I’m so grateful for!

I did a complete overhaul in my mom’s laundry room the last time I came out to visit but didn’t have time to finish styling it before I left. Finally got it finished for her 👏🏼😍.

As you can see I am still playing with a few looks on my own dining table but this one is making me think I’m getting close to a final design 👏🏼 .

Got this little area of my kitchen freshened up 👏🏼👏🏼 Sometimes just swapping out and displaying different kitchen items is a nice change for me! Also maybe I’ll finally use that cute little stoneware baker that I’ve never actually cooked in 🤔😆.

Seasons... Some can be so difficult. I know I’ve been MIA on here and that is just life sometimes. We found out right before Christmas that my dad is sick and isn’t going to get better and I’ve taken it pretty hard. I trust the Lord and in His sovereignty, but man, sometimes this life can just be HARD! I’m hoping to feel more like myself again soon and back to enjoying styling (and restyling 🤣) my home. But when hard things are going on it’s most certainly the first thing to get put on the back burner. So all that to say, I’m still here and I could certainly use prayers for my sweet dad. Thanks, friends!

Because I kept it more neutral this year I didn’t mind keeping my decorations up longer, which was a change for me. I went on a last-minute trip to Colorado to visit my parents and didn’t put a single Christmas decoration away before I left. I’m praying my husband has it all put away before I come home... Here’s to wishful thinking 😂🥰.

A thrill of hope... Hope in Jesus. It’s what I’ve been clinging to lately. We’ve had some tough news thrown at us in the last few weeks and I simply can’t imagine doing this life with it’s ups and downs without that hope. It’s a wonderful time of year to bring that back into focus. Merry Christmas from our family to yours!.

How do you display your Christmas cards? I have previously strung them on jute but this year decided to put them in a bowl on my island. The kids and I have enjoyed adding new ones and looking through the pile. Love getting these each and every year!.
