Sometimes the best design decision is simply choosing something you love and having the confidence to use a lot of it. 🫒

In this guest bath at Love Macy, we wrapped the walls in glossy olive-green tile and let the color envelop the space. Warm wood, marble, and brass add richness without competing, creating a room that feels dramatic, intimate, and a little unexpected. 🤍

At The Still House, restraint gave us the opportunity to really celebrate the details. 🤍

A softened neutral palette lets warm wood, sculptural stone, tactile finishes, and creamy upholstery bring depth, while softer curves balance the stronger architectural lines.

The carved stone artwork, antique mirror, branch-like fireplace screen, and collected vessels add character, allowing the craftsmanship and materials to do the talking.

Such a special moment to see the Magnolia project featured in the Fall/Winter AT HOME edition of Nashville Lifestyles Magazine. 🤍

Magnolia began with the homeowners themselves: a lifetime of travel, years spent living abroad, and an incredible collection of art, artifacts, and meaningful pieces gathered along the way. Rather than adding those pieces at the end, we let them lead the design, shaping the color, pattern, textiles, and character of each room.

Seeing that story shared across these pages feels especially meaningful. Thank you to Nashville Lifestyles for highlighting a design that is so personal and for celebrating our belief in storytelling through design. Swipe through to read the full feature, “All Roads Lead to Magnolia.”

For me, good design is often about deciding what you want to see and finding a beautiful solution for everything you don’t. 🤍

A kitchen works hard enough as it is, so whenever we have the opportunity, I love tucking the practical pieces behind cabinetry and letting the beautiful things have the attention. In this case, rich wood, delicate brass inlay, and beautiful hardware disguise a fully functioning coffee station that disappears completely once the morning rush is over.

As a proud Kips Bay alum, this Show House will always hold a special place in my heart. There’s something extraordinary about seeing so many talented designers bring their individual visions to life under one roof, and I hope you have the chance to experience this year’s incredible work before the doors close on October 13.

In the meantime, I’m sharing another look back at The Dressing Story, the space we created for last year’s Show House. Inspired by the romantic elegance of Paris’s famed Bouillon Julien, it was such a joy to bring together Art Nouveau influences, hand-painted botanicals, antique details, and beautiful textiles in a space that still makes me smile. ✨

At The Still House, this entertainment space was made for putting on a favorite record, picking up a guitar, pouring a drink, and staying awhile. 🤍🥃

Slatted wood runs from wall to ceiling, adding warmth and rhythm, while the round stone table and sculptural chairs soften the lines and create an easy place to gather.

And, of course, the guitars. 🎸 Keeping them within reach brings something meaningful to the homeowners into the design, giving the room a personality that feels unmistakably theirs.

I’ve never been afraid to let a small room make a big statement. 🤍

In the guest bath at Ridge Road Modern, we carried deep green tile from wall to wall and into the shower, laying it in a herringbone pattern that gives the room so much movement. Crisp white stone and warm brass add just the right amount of polish, almost like jewelry against all that beautiful green.

There’s a certain kind of calm that comes from waking up alongside the water. 🌊🤍

For this bedroom in the Saugatuck Lake House, I wanted the room to feel as serene as the Lake Michigan views just beyond the windows. Soft, quiet layers create an easy backdrop, while touches of green, blush, woven texture, and a few unexpected pieces give the space its personality.
