Up again with Ellie. She is wheezing and coughing with her Congestive Heart Failure. I started her on a new medication suggested by a different vet, but it doesn’t seem to help at all. The vet did say it might help, but might not, but we tried it… She is worse at night. I feel so helpless,….

"I died today.
I was found by a kind, sweet woman who does wildlife rescue.
I was so sick, I could barely open my eyes.
She took me inside, cradling me in her warm arms, and made me warm and comfortable.
I opened my eyes and looked at her and thanked her for making my last few minutes as comfortable as possible.
But I was too sick to keep fighting anymore.
I had eaten a mouse that was poisoned, and it made me very sick.
I closed my yellow eyes for the last time and went somewhere else.
Please, all I ask is never use poison to kill the mice.
Poison kills owls, like me.
All I wanted was a mouse for dinner.

Stop the use of poison for rats or mice.
Live traps are the best to use. Catch and release.
It only takes one share to spread the word."

Daisy is asking for your help. She is so happy and has adjusted well. When she first arrived here, she was super scared & had to be muzzled. However, with love & kindness, time & patience she has grown into a lovable girl.

I was at Walmart tonight & I saw this man w/ a cart full of stuffed animals. When I asked him why, my heart became full. He told me that every year he dresses up as Santa & walks the halls of the children’s ER & delivers one to each child. This man deserves to be recognized.
