The Artistic Gypsy:



Hello, I am Belle Savage, an Iowa City, IA based artist, creator and writer. Of all the things I want you to know, the biggest is that making art encourages me to be the best version of myself. Personal artistic development has been a lifeline as I work my way through the challenges life has brought. Mixed media, acrylic paints, jewelry, pottery, sculpture, and fiber arts - I have loved each of them since I first discovered each medium.

In our society where so many things are thrown away, with materials of every type tossed out, I believe art can make a difference. By using assorted scraps, and salvaged materials, and making something amazing out of them, I can encourage a different perspective—that different bits and pieces, ideas and mediums can be brought together and harmonized into something new.

Teaching people to get in touch with their creativity and different skills is important to me. It is another adventure where I can share my joy of the journey with others. As a passionate and motivated professional, I’m constantly striving to improve my techniques, expand my skill set and find new opportunities to grow. Each of my projects - both solo and collaborative - have provided this growth and allowed me to establish myself within this competitive industry.
