Christmas looks a little different this year.😔What was supposed to be a fun trip to Mexico turned into one of the scariest days of my life. The first night we got here, I woke up with excruciating pain in my stomach thinking something was wrong with my appendix. However, after 21 hours of straight pain, refused surgery unless we paid an outrageous deposit, I finally got the surgery I needed. I had a rare birth defect on my small intestine called Meckel’s Diverticulum that burst and was filling my stomach with fluid. Also while removing that, they found I had an umbilical hernia and removed my appendix. I really could not have done it with by my side, he advocated for me when I couldn’t and stood by my side when I really didn’t know what was going to happen to me. I’m thankful to have made it out on the other side and recovering. 🤍

One year ago today I was crying on my way to my first practice because for once, I knew this was exactly where I needed to be. Joining this club is more than I could have ever imagined. The wrestling part is amazing, but what’s ever better is the people that I get to surround myself with on a daily basis.🧡
