I crocheted this earring holder to display & store my dangly earrings 🧶

Since my ears are stretched, I wear lever back earrings through my silicone tunnels and this is a great way to have them easily accessible by my vanity.

🎨 Well, after I shared how I haven't been creating recently, I immediately found my new artistic fixation: watercolor. I'm not very good and have a lot to learn as far as technique goes, but I'm having a lot of fun. Probably a short lived hobby, as I'm one to obsess for a while and then completely stop 🫣 who knows though, sometimes surprising crafts end up sticking around!

You may have noticed I've been a little MIA and to be honest, I haven't been very productive creatively. Between all the jobs I have as a SAHM, I apparently only have it in me to actively enjoy 1 hobby at a time. After a couple years of not really playing video games at all, I bought Stardew Valley for my switch & have been spending all my down time playing that for a few weeks. Playing Stardew also just reminded me that I do really love gaming & so I've busted out the Sims again as well. Really hoping to make time to play my long awaited Dragon Age game during the summer too. However, all this fun has been at the expense of my creative pursuits (crochet, sewing, general crafting) and I don't want to give up those passions. So I'm going to try to find more balance over the coming weeks.

Here is one recent project though- a Father's Day gift I helped my children make for my partner!

It's teacher appreciation week & today is bring your teacher a flower day! So I made a cotton flower bouquet coaster for my son's homeroom teacher & a stemmed rose for his band director! 💐🌹

Possibly my first piece of blatantly political art 🧶

The crimes of war weigh heavy on my mind and heart lately. I read news articles talking about the most brutal, horrific atrocities that are happening around the world... It sickens me that people can be so evil and I felt called to make some sort of protest art. I used it to "yarn bomb" our tree.

✨️AI "art" is created via art theft✨️
It has become increasingly hard to watch people share the studio Ghibli styled pictures and action figure starter pack (insert whatever is the current trend) and it hurts even worse when it's a fellow creative. I've had to unfollow multiple art pages that I love because I just cannot support the use of AI art.
Art (encompassing so much 🎶🎨🎭🪡🧶📷+) is one of the most human things there is. We should keep it that way.
