Hello all, it’s been a while!
I’ve been busy finishing up my bachelors degree, and now that my classes are officially over, i’ve been busy in the studio! I wanted to share a few new products i’ve been working on, and a little bit about them. I do not just create items based on what I see others doing, but instead find inspiration and work to make items that are intentional. The past two weeks i’ve been working on 3 new items for my upcoming show.
The first is the Stroller Bag. I first thought of an idea of a bag that could attach to a stroller, and began researching. Many creators have made items similar, but some have buttons or buckles which aren’t very practical, or a style I just don’t prefer. I made a Snap and Go type stroller bag, and used it in my everyday life when take my nanny baby out and about. I don’t like lugging around a back pack, but still wanted something I could easily carry with me and it has been a life saver! There are currently two sizes, the first is perfect for one little or a quick trip with multiples. The second is larger and good for multiple kiddos or longer trips out and about. I use it to store a few diapers and wipes, bottles, and a backup outfit. They are made with a durable foam interfacing to keep shape, and the straps can also be crossed to carry as a regular tote bag.
The second are Lavender Rice Packs. If you know me personally, you know I sleep with a rice pack almost every night! Lavender adds a nice scent, and these packs can be warmed in the microwave, or chilled in the freezer. They can be used for sleep, aches and pains, or as ice packs for injuries.
The third is a Weighted Eye Mask. I have used this product every night since I made the first one. I’ve consulted with multiple people about weight and how to use it. They come in multiple weights as some prefer a heavier feel and others a lighter. They can be folded in half and placed over the eyes for concentrated comfort on the eyes, or spread out for temple and eye pressure, again it was about 50/50 for how people preferred to use them. I intentionally created this pattern to be used either way. They’re great for blocking out light and assisting with sleep, as well as for migraines or headaches. They can also be chilled in the freezer. As someone who suffers from trouble sleeping, I can say my sleep as significantly improved with the mask!
I’m excited to share these new projects with you, and will have them available at my first event of the year, Palo Farmers Market on May 31st! I will of course have all my embroidered items as well as some other new items!
