October, the month that makes coming home feel a little sweeter.

There’s something about this time of year that brings back the art of noticing. The leaves changing almost overnight. The light shifting earlier. A familiar drive suddenly looking completely different. The little rituals at home that we naturally return to.

Maybe that’s the beauty of October. It doesn’t ask us to do more, it simply makes us pay attention again. 🍂

WELL FOUND | AREA RUGS

The kind of piece that quietly sets the tone for an entire room.

This week’s Well Found is all about area rugs, with a collection of 8x10s under $600 that feel far more considered than their price point. Think warm wool, subtle pattern, vintage inspired details, and a little color mixed in.

Because finding an affordable rug is easy. Finding one that actually looks good is another story.

There are quite a few new faces here, and it’s been a while since I’ve properly introduced myself. So, consider this a few pages from my journal.

I’ve shared a lot of the work here over the years, but maybe not as much of the story behind it.

A little look back at where design first found me, the ideas that turned into something more, the people who have been part of it, and a few of the things that make me, me.

It’s funny looking back and realizing how much of where you are now was quietly taking shape all along.

HOUSE CALL | EP. 01: SPLURGE VS. SAVE

Between designing homes for clients and renovating my own, I’ve developed some pretty strong opinions on where it’s worth spending a little more and where you can absolutely save.

Because creating a beautiful home isn’t about choosing the most expensive option every time. It’s about knowing which things are worth investing in, and where spending more really isn’t going to make that much of a difference.

Honored to be named Best of Blue 2026 for Interior Design in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

When I started this studio, there was plenty of uncertainty so to look at where we are today, building something meaningful here in the U.P. and paving our own path, feels incredibly special.

Grateful for every client who has trusted us with their home, every trade and creative we’ve had the privilege of working alongside, and every project that has helped shape this studio along the way.

Feeling proud, grateful, and very excited for what’s ahead. 🎉
