according to lore, an Innuit warrior discovered large stones with light trapped inside around Labrador, Canada. He took his spear, broke the stones open, and freed what we now know as the Aurora Borealis. some of the light stayed within the stone and the rest raced into the sky.

I personally wear labradorite not just for protection, but to help spur on my muse for my creative projects. It is by far my most favorite stone for my practice.
