Picked up my bees at Mann Lake this past weekend and wow…
Seeing all these buzzing boxes heading off to new hives is something special 🐝
So many little colonies starting their journeys at the same time 💛

🍀🐔 Happy Leprechaun Day from the coop! 🐔🍀
The girls are feeling extra lucky today… and maybe just a little mischievous 😏✨

Decked out in their finest green, they’re clucking up good vibes and hoping you find a pot of gold (or at least a basket full of fresh eggs 💚🥚)

Here at Tina Grace Living, we believe a little homestead magic goes a long way—sunshine, happy hens, and simple living 🍯🌿

✨ May your day be full of:
• Fresh eggs
• Warm coffee
• A little laughter
• And all the good luck you can hold 🍀

💬 Tell me—did my girls bring you a little luck today?

🐣 The chicks are here! And the brooder just got a whole lot cuter.

These little bundles of cutess are looking for their forever coop. DM me if interested!

Every spring I forget just how tiny and fluffy these little nuggets are… and then suddenly the incubator starts peeping and the whole house fills with baby chick noises.

This hatch is extra fun because we have a mix of green eggers and olive eggers in the group. That means these tiny fluff balls will grow up to lay some of those gorgeous green and olive colored eggs we all love. 💚🥚

Right now though… they’re mostly focused on the important things in life:

• Running in random circles
• Falling asleep mid-step
• Pecking EVERYTHING
• And piling into the cutest little chick cuddle puddles.

Some are yellow with little black spots, some are dark and mysterious, and a few look like tiny chipmunks already — I can’t wait to watch their feathers come in and see what they turn into.
And judging by the way they’re zooming around already… I think they’re voting for a bigger brooder upgrade very soon. 😂

There is just something magical about watching a new hatch start their life. In a few short months these little babies will be out in the coop,

scratching in the grass and laying beautiful eggs.
Several of these little fluff balls will also be looking for their forever coop (or brooder!) when they’re ready.

If you’ve been wanting to add some beautiful green or olive egg layers to your flock, these babies are perfect!

For now though, we’re just soaking up the fluff, peeps, and pure cuteness overload.

Welcome to the world little ones. 💛

Came outside this morning and found all my hens piled up against the house digging holes like a bunch of brand-new puppies. Apparently they found the perfect patch of dirt! Chickens always keep life interesting. 🐔

Well this might be the strangest egg I’ve ever pulled from the coop 👀

A beautiful green shell with a deep blue “ink splatter” spot—like the printer glitched mid-print.
Heavy bloom, chalky feel, and completely unique. Chickens never stop surprising me 🐔💚

Nature’s little art projects are my favorite.
Anyone else ever find an egg like this?

🐣 FIRST CHICK OF THE YEAR 🐣

And this little one wasted zero time making an entrance.

Strong, alert, and equipped with a very impressive set of lungs—this chick is doing great and already making sure everyone knows it’s here. Loud, proud, and full of life… I couldn’t be more excited to kick off hatch season 🥹🐥

🥚 DAY 19 HATCH UPDATE
We’re only on day 19, so this chick arrived a bit early, which can happen. One common cause of early hatching is incubator temperature—even being off by a couple of degrees can speed up embryo development.

Incubators can have hot and cool spots, so the displayed temperature isn’t always exactly what the eggs are experiencing. Moving forward, I’ll be adding an additional thermometer inside the incubator to help maintain more consistent heat throughout the hatch.

Early doesn’t mean unhealthy—especially when they hatch strong, vocal, and thriving 💪🐣
Here’s to a great hatch ahead!

Getting the breeding pens up and ready to go 🐓
Not quite there yet, but I’m doing small-batch breeding this year.

just dipping my toe in and testing the waters with a few focused projects.

If I love it (and I think I will), I’ll be upgrading to larger breeding coops with their own runs later this year. Already watching for those summer clearance deals 👀

Next on the list: a bachelor pad for the boys and dialing in a free-range rotation that gives everyone a breather.
