Spring has fully arrived, bringing with it a sense of rejuvenation and a chance to reflect on our creative journey. 🌸✨️ No matter how long I've been an artist it's still too easy to forget little successes and everyday joys along the way in a quest to finish or be better.

These days I rely on a simple creative celebration ritual — my favorite time to do this is when the seasons are shifting from one to another. 💖 A gentle reminder that our creative life matters, and the more we appreciate it, the more we invite it to nourish us. ✨️🐰

I wrote a thing from my heart.

"When things feel heavier than usual, I pour my feelings out between the pages of my daily art journal. When I’m light in spirit and excited about A Thing, I share it with my Enchanted Explorer Club members, inside a secret portal. Within the comfort of private homes, over dinner gatherings and festive celebrations with family and friends, we discuss our deepest and darkest fears.

But here, in the place of many eyes, is where the walls have unconsciously (and unfortunately) come up. Because the world has become a strange place of unreality, with unspoken expectations, misplaced attention, and digital overwhelm."

As an artist, I strongly believe, as Robert Henri did - “in living a life that makes the art inevitable”. And that to me means folding in magical little moments of delight in my daily life through wonder-walking in my garden or nearby landscape, and whenever I can, slipping away for a creative adventure to farther away places, sometimes the local arboretum, sometimes a town a few hours away.

Magic happens when we interrupt the numbing lull of our everyday rhythm with something wonderfully new and different. " ✨️🍂✨️ - Excerpted from 'The Magic of Creative Adventures'.

"This season always leaves me just a little more reflective than usual, as I attempt to reconcile how I’ve spent my year thus far, with the handful of months I have left before the next. I’m also in a harvest mood, selecting treasures to bring with me into renewing times ahead.

I'm asking lots of questions:

Who have I been?
What have I made?
How have I changed?

I went into summer with bookend creative practices, but emerged with a steadfast ritual that has grabbed me by the heart and refused to let go. The fierce devotion I’ve developed to this simple yet profound daily practice has been surprising in many ways, of which I’ve yet to completely unpack.

I don’t fully understand why it’s held me so bewitched, as if pulled by an invisible thread, but I revel in it nonetheless. Doors have opened to glorious, wondrous recesses of my inner world, hidden places I’ve always hoped existed but have now glimpsed with regularity."
