Out of hundreds of entries , Bob picked our window to win his favorite display this holiday season! For our prize, he treated the Home Green Home crew to a festive meal together at our favorite restaurant, Cafe DeWitt. Thank you, Bob!

For our prize, Bob treated the Home Green Home crew to breakfast at Cafe DeWitt. I'll post a photo of our celebratory meal in the next post!

I asked all of you to send in your windows for a chance to get lunch on me for your crew, and you were all in.

I've searched through the hundreds we received to showcase what I like in a well-done window.

The various mushrooms were made in-house - including 150 paper clay mushroom ornaments made by the owner. What I like so much about this is the simplicity of a job well done. They aren't trying to show you everything they carry but to grab your attention and beckon you to enter. Being able to see inside is vital in having windows at any time of year to invite passersby inside. The whole effect is magical and a high point among all the beautiful entries we received.

What I like about it?
-Lining the inside of the window grounds it
-Red mushrooms are unexpected and glow
-The only point is to draw you in further, not just to display all their products
-150 ornaments were made just for the beauty of the tree

Megan sent the following upon her notification: "We had a lot of fun putting it together, and the response from our customers has been really lovely. I’m an active member of our local BID, and the chair of our retail committee. We’re running a local competition as well:

❤️🍄 Home Green Home took home top honors, winning both 1st Place by the panel of judges and the People's Choice vote! 🍄❤️

🎄 Congratulations to 2nd place winner Ithaca Guitar Works and 3rd place winners, in a 3-way tie, Sunny Days of Ithaca, The Brain Shoppe, and Cat's Pajamas! 🎄
