Gary Rith began making pottery in 1983 as a ceramics major at Bennington College. After several years of teaching, including stints at the University of Illinois-Chicago Craft Shop and Cushing Academy, in 1997 he set up his first studio in New Hampshire and began making pots full-time. In 2006 he moved to the Ithaca, NY area, opened a new studio and taught at the Cornell University Ceramics Studio until it closed in 2011. 30 plus years, still going strong, making something new everyday!

As I was saying last week, I hadn’t made elephant teapots in awhile, and so i did! The whole family, too, sugar bowl elephant and nice little mugs too… all going to Star Tree Studio Saturday, where I am at he counter with my dog Dottie 10-3!
