Mamaw Jean’s Quilts Named after my grandmother, Jean Riley, who gifted quilts to all her family members.

This charity was founded to gift quilts to people who have lost their heirloom quilts due to flooding.

I got a phone call from the guild in Colorado today. They’re sending a box with ONE HUNDRED quilt blocks!! I can’t wait to see what I can do with these beauties!

We also had a donation of 3 quilt tops by a wonderful local lady.

I have a craft festival this weekend, but will hopefully be diving into these after that!

This is a quilt that one of my cousins shared with me a few years ago, that my Mamaw Jean had made for her. You can see how much it was loved! This is our heritage. This is what we treasure so much. This is what I hope to provide to those who have lost it. ❤️

This page was created to be a hub for information about Mamaw Jean’s Quilts. My Mamaw Jean bought her first quilting machine after ginsenging the hills around hef house to gather enough money. She made countless quilts that adorned not only her customers beds, but numerous family members beds as well.

Quilts have always been a top heirloom in eastern Kentucky, and throughout all of Appalachia. My goal is to try to gift a quilt to individuals & families who have lost them due to the catastrophic flooding eastern KY has faced.

I currently cannot accept any monetary donations. But I may set up a Amazon wishlist at some point where you could purchase supplies to donate.
