A water leak started it. A complete transformation finished it. 🤍🖤
What began as an unexpected water leak quickly became an opportunity to completely rethink the heart of this home.
Before, this was a builder-grade galley kitchen with limited function and an awkward connection to the adjoining den. Once the space was taken back to the studs, we had the opportunity to look at it differently—not just replace what had been there, but make it significantly better.
One of the biggest changes was actually architectural. We reduced the oversized opening into the den and added an arched opening, creating the symmetry we needed to design a true focal point: the new range wall.
From there, the entire kitchen came together around it. Dramatically veined countertops, a custom fluted range hood, warm cabinetry, brass hardware, and a completely reworked layout transformed both the look and the way this kitchen functions for our clients.
It’s hard to believe this is the same space—and those are always some of our favorite transformations.
Sometimes good design is simply seeing an unexpected problem as an opportunity to create something so much better than what was there before. 🤍
