I had NO interest in leaving my house today until I learned this sale ended tonight. Five cases of widemouth pint jars went in my cart. Yes my inner child came out and I was so excited and doing happy dances. Y'all this was a huge deal and exactly what I needed for our next round of canning. Glad I went to the great googly moogly to prepare or I would have missed out!!

Got to harvest my first raspberries as this branch had broken due to recent winds. The mealworms and darkling beetles got the bounty as I'm still at least a week out before serious harvesting can begin. The moonflowers are coming along nicely and always a treat when they open. Got my espresso and regular coffee concentrates done for the week. I'm finding the espresso will last through two regular batches so my idea of doing this at home to save cash is working. Plus I'm getting pretty good at my measurements and it's far superior tasting than anything I have bought! Other bonus is the grounds and filters can go to the red wigglers

This!! As a kid I didn't see or appreciate this but that's ok because I have dealt with the trauma that canning season caused. Now with health issues that require watching things like sodium and sugars the benefits of knowing what I'm eating makes the work worth it. The other bonus is I helped to make what is going in that jar possible. This last week myself and the awesome ladies I am blessed to garden with got together to do pickled beets, green beans, carrots, and I believe something else on a day I wasn't there. This time around all that work was done with laughter, love, measuring with your heart, and a bond that grows. I'm actually looking forward to upcoming canning events as potatoes are on deck!

While growing up you dream of many things you'll do as an adult and I never expected to be a worm farmer! The peppers are popping!! All plants have flowers and some are starting to produce. The apocalypse scorpion is going crazy with peppers!! Saddest part of my jungle walk was seeing the one brussel sprout plant stripped bare. Sadly I don't think it will survive and hopefully the other one will.
