Hi friends,
 
I am sad to announce that Joyfull’s online retail shop is closing. The truth is that despite shifting our sales model in the hopes of making the business work alongside welcoming a baby to our growing family, this is not sustainable for my family or the business. That being said, we will no longer offer products for sale via our website, micro shops, markets, or pop ups. HOWEVER…the community we’ve built around this business is truly amazing, and I feel that I still have something to offer. My hope moving forward is to continue to develop the educational side of Joyfull, and I would love for you all to stick around as we refocus our content as
 
In an effort to find homes for our remaining inventory and supplies, we will be posting items for sale to our story at heavily discounted prices. Right now, all purchases can be made through direct messages where we can finalize your order, arrange a delivery date, and email you an invoice. I hope to stay in touch with many of you throughout this transition, and can’t wait to point you in the direction of other local zero waste shops.

1.💧Make a small change in your daily routine & switch from single-use to reusable. Carry your reusable water bottle or coffee cup, find package-free groceries, switch to loose fruit & veg, or try a zero-waste shop.

2. 🤳 Inspire change! Share a selfie of you with your reusables and show the world what you’re doing to live with less plastic.

3. 👛 Support local businesses that have enacted plastic-reducing sustainable practices.

The overproduction and consumption of single-use plastic is creating an environmental and humanitarian crisis. Plastic is not only polluting our planet, and contributing to the climate crisis, but it’s making its way into our bodies through the air we breathe and the food we eat. 🥦🥕🍣

Reusable coffee cups or single-use disposable cups?

Did you know you actually have to use your reusable coffee cup over 100 times (and up to 1,000) to make it the more environmentally friendly option?

Opting to make your coffee at home or staying and drinking out of the coffee shops’ mugs/glasses are always the more sustainable options. However, if you get your coffee “to go” always remember to BYO reusable cup. Most local coffee shops will give you a discount too!

Don’t have a reusable mug? First scout out the Buy Nothing Groups on Facebook. It’s insane how many large companies give away free reusable mugs to their employees, and how many of those mugs go unused.

Meet Maria . She’s the reason Joyfull is sticking around this summer! She’s also the face you’ll see at our pop ups over the next few months, so be sure to stop by and chat with her. She’s a fountain of knowledge for all things sustainable, and an avid supporter of imperfect sustainability 😃 No idea what I’m talking about? 🫠Chat her up to find out more!

One of the things I love most about this community is the desire of its members to lift each other up. When Maria reached out to me to see if we could come up with a plan to keep Joyfull going while I take maternity leave, I felt lucky.🍀Because of her, I get to keep my passion project alive and take the time I need to focus on my family. So, thank you Maria! We’re so excited to have you on board. 🙌 I can’t wait to see how you shake things up at Joyfull and continue to contribute to this awesome community.
